The Macao Trademark Association (MTA) is a non-profit membership association of trademark owners, trademark agents and professionals, from different countries and regions。MTA was founded by some well-known enterprises and trademark agencies after the approval by the Macau SAR Identification Department. The purpose of MTA is to: safeguard the member’s trademark rights and interests; provides services to the members in trademark application and registration; enable the members to keep track of the development of intellectual property and monitor their trademark records and status; assist the members to establish famous and well-known trademarks. The main missions of MTA are as follows: publicize and implement the laws and regulations on trademarks; guide and assist the members to use trademark strategy and establish famous trademarks; safeguard the member’s trademarks rights and interests, provide the members with legal consultancy service; coordinate the relationship among members and promote exchange and cooperation; hold academic activities, offer training on the knowledge of trademarks and other intellectual property knowledge, popularize advanced theories and successful experiences; carry out international exchange and cooperation with regard to trademarks; Edict the academic publications related to trademarks. |
